A newborn photoshoot is a beautiful way to capture the earliest stage of your baby’s life. The focus is on the natural beauty of your newborn, with soft tones, warm blankets, and loving details.
The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is around two weeks after birth. At this stage, babies still sleep a lot and naturally curl up, just as they did in the womb. This results in dreamy, delicate images that highlight your baby’s fragility and softness.
A Relaxed Atmosphere: At Home or in the Studio
I prioritize a warm and relaxed experience. The photoshoot can take place in either my studio or your own familiar environment.
At Home: Most parents choose to have the shoot in their own home. Your baby will be the most comfortable here, and I can capture your family in a natural and cozy setting. A bright space with good natural light is ideal. If you’re unsure about the best location, I can visit beforehand to help decide.
In the Studio: Prefer a professional setting with soft lighting? My studio is fully equipped to create a serene and intimate atmosphere, ensuring all the focus is on your baby.
No matter the location, the ambiance remains the same: calm, warm, and loving. We take our time so that both you and your baby feel relaxed throughout the session.
How Does a Newborn Photoshoot Work?
Every baby is unique, and the session follows the natural rhythm of your newborn. There is always time for feeding, cuddles, and diaper changes to ensure your baby remains comfortable.
Before the shoot, we’ll discuss the style that best suits your family. Do you prefer intimate, natural photos or a cozy, styled setting? I bring soft blankets, wraps, and fabrics, but you’re welcome to include personal accessories, such as a favorite stuffed animal, a special onesie, or a sentimental blanket.
During the Shoot
The best time for the shoot is right after a feeding when your baby is full and sleepy, making it easier to create those serene, peaceful images.
The duration of the shoot is flexible and depends on how the session unfolds. We follow the baby’s rhythm and take the time needed to work in a relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of room for breaks, feeding, and changing, and we patiently wait until the baby is completely at ease or in a deep sleep. This way, we create the most beautiful and natural images, without any rush.
If possible I capture both sleeping and awake moments, focusing on tiny details like delicate hands, feet, and facial expressions. Would you like to be in the photos as well?
